Wisteria Cottage has been completely but sympathetically re-furbished in 2008 and is now available for rental (sleeps six). It is situated in the small wine -producing village of Sessame, close to the elegant spa town of Acqui Terme.

The front of the cottage overlooks the gated garden and a vineyard of moscato grapes, and has views of the distant hills on the other side of the Bormida Valley. The large, enclosed rear garden is principally laid to lawn.

On the ground floor is the entrance hall, the kitchen with gas oven and hob, the lounge complete with satellite TV and a DVD player and the downstairs bathroom, with bath.

Original beamed ceilings and new hand-crafted cottage doors give the cottage immense character.

On the first floor are three double bedrooms, one with twin single beds, and the upstairs bathroom with double wash basins and a shower.

At Wisteria Cottage you can relax and unwind in beautiful countryside, although a car will be essential for exploring this renowned wine-producing area.

From the UK, fly to Genoa or Turin airports (1.5 hrs) or Milan Malpensa (2 hrs)
