The Turin Festival of Chocolate is held annually in early March, centred around the spacious and elegant Piazza Vittorio Veneto in the centre of the city.

The festival is, quite naturally, a celebration of the palate....but much more besides. There is culture, exhibitions, music, cuisine and entertainment.

There are also cookery workshops led by prestigious chefs.

The exhibition stalls of all the major local manufacturers run down both sides of the piazza; you can sample and buy their range of chocolate and related goods; including hot drinking chocolates in a wide range of varieties (the Grand Marnier was particularly excellent).

During the Festival many of the city restaurants offer special chocolate-inspired, fixed-price menus.

Chocopass

You can buy a Torino Chocopass all year-round (not just during the Festival) from the Tourist Information office. At the time of writing a 10 euro pass buys you 10 tastings from participating enterprises in a 24 hour period, or a 15 euro pass buys you 15 in a 48 hour period. It seems even the Torinese would struggle to consume 15 samples in a day !
